Suggested books to buy

Page history last edited by Suzan Nyfeler 1 mo ago

The Tocker Foundation has provided $6,000 for age-appropriate books (babies through age 5) to be given to families at free parent/caregiver classes.  The classes will mostly be offered as outreach but may also be offered in the library.  CTLS will purchase the books and deliver them at the workshops to participating libraries.  Many of the books will be in English and Spanish.  The grant does not allow these books to be added to the collection or given away at other library events.

CTLS will provide reproducible handouts with lists of recommended books.  These may be reproduced and edited for local use, as long as the basic template is maintained. Libraries may also want to add these children's books to their collections. Please add to the lists.

These lists are being updated by Kelly Linder, a graduate student at TWU.  She is bilingual and is a mother of four.  Thanks, Kelly!
